The role of microRNAs for the development of neuronal and neuroendocrine neural crest derivatives

A PhD student position is available immediately in the field of developmental neuroscience. The successful candidate will participate in a DFG funded project aiming to unravel the role of microRNAs for the development of neuronal and neuroendocrine neural crest derivatives. We are seeking a talented and highly motivated candidate, preferentially with a background in neuroscience, developmental biology or molecular biology .
The position is offered for a period of three years according to TV-L E13 (50 %) on the German pay scale. The project will be conducted in the groups of Prof. Klaus Unsicker and PD Dr. Katrin Huber, Department of Molecular Embryology, University of Freiburg. A close collaboration and interaction with the group of Prof. Hermann Rohrer (Max Planck Institute for Brain Research, Frankfurt) is intended.
