Myofibrillar Protein Complexes: From Atomic Structure to Human Disease

PhD positions are available to join multidisciplinary research efforts that focus on the morphogenesis of cross-striated muscle as a paradigm for macromolecular assembly. We are integrated into international research groups that include experts in structural biology, molecular biophysics, biochemistry, cell biology, physiology and medicine. In this context, our labs focus on the elucidation of signaling pathways that regulate protein localization, dynamics and interactions in muscle cells.

Applicants should hold a degree in molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry or a related discipline, and they should have experience in at least one of the following methodologies:
- microscopical analysis of protein dynamics and interactions (FRAP, BiFC, ...),
- gene cloning and expression/knockdown techniques,
- protein expression and interaction analyses.

The successful candidates will possess good organisational and presentational skills and will be expected to participate in our multidisciplinary network activities.
