We are looking for a motivated and collaborative PhD student with a strong medical or computational background for a project focussing on electrophysiological processes of the neocortex and hippocampus involved in memory consolidation during sleep in humans and /or rodents (in-vivo). Cortical stimulation techniques and pharmacological manipulations are also to be employed. A background in EEG biosignal analyses and/or extracellular electrophysiology as well as good organizational skills is most advantageous.
